IT'S ALMOST SUMMER!  God gave us a beautiful Spring this year!  A new beginning with new flowers and new changes springing up everywhere!  

 

And it is the same with our church.

 

Since the retirement of our founding Pastor, Sidney Bates, we have been so blessed to have a new addition to our family.  Pastor Gary Thurman and his wife Linda.  They have fit right in like missing puzzle pieces.  Pastor Thurman is very passionate about preaching the Gospel and telling about how much Jesus loves us and wants us to be happy.  For him, it is truly a labor of Love.  He is a very learned preacher and teacher who loves God with all of his heart.  It shows every time he gets behind the pulpit and in everything he does.

 

God answered another prayer when he brought Linda Thurman to our church.  She is a magnificent piano player and singer!  The church has not had a piano player for so long. Now, the silence is filled with such beautiful music and singing that flows all through the church and every person standing in the congregation.  The music is so uplifting, any bad feelings or sorrow felt when you walk through the door just seem to melt away.  We thank God for bringing the Thurmans to our church!
